
Anthony Davis was picked to finish as the runner-up to LeBron James in the MVP race, according to an annual survey of the league's general managers.
But that's based solely on where the two players are at this point in their respective careers. When looking a few years into the future, Davis over James was close to a unanimous choice.
When asked which player they would choose to start a franchise, here's how the voting shook out:
This really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Even if you believe LeBron is better now, he's 30 years old and entering his 13th NBA season, while Davis, at age 22, has already proven to be dominant after just three professional seasons.
