Ogden, UT – Montana's Robin Pflugrad was named the Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year by fellow conference coaches on Wednesday.
Pflugrad, in his second season guiding the Grizzlies, led them to a 9-2 record in the regular season and a co-Big Sky championship. The Grizzlies earned the conference's automatic bid to the FCS playoffs, where they will host a second- round game on Dec. 3 against either Central Arkansas or Tennessee Tech.
"I'm very humbled and honored to receive the award," Pflugrad said. "I really believe it's an award for our entire football team and entire program, and I think it's an honor for how hard our entire coaching staff worked throughout the spring, summer, and fall."
