Maysonet and Coker help Stony Brook run for 416 in 56-17 blowout win over Presbyterian
CLINTON, S.C. – Miguel Maysonet and Marcus Coker combined for 356 of Stony Brook's 416 rushing yards as the Seawolves blew out Presbyterian 56-17 Saturday in a Big South contest.
Maysonet accrued 212 yards on 19 carries while Coker contributed 144 yards on 16 rushes. Each player also scored two touchdowns as Stony Brook (8-1, 4-0) accumulated its largest rushing totals since piling up 521 yards against Pace on Sept. 8.
Seawolves quarterback Kyle Essington was 10-of-14 passing for 185 yards and three scores, all of which went to Kevin Norrell (six catches, 138 yards).
Two of Essington's touchdown passes came in the first quarter as Stony Brook jumped to a 14-3 lead. Maysonet scored his first touchdown early in the second, and by halftime, Presbyterian (2-7, 0-4) trailed 28-10.
For the Blue Hose, Kaleb Griffin was 20 of 33 for 202 yards passing with one interception.
