Marseille, France – Andre Ayew will miss the remainder of the Ligue 1 season as the Marseille winger gets set to undergo surgery to repair an injured left shoulder, it was revealed by the club Tuesday.
The 22-year-old dislocated his shoulder on several occasions this season but decided to put off surgery with the hopes of avoiding a lengthy spell out of action. He is expected to miss three months after finally agreeing to go under the knife.
Ayew has tallied eight league goals in a disappointing season for Marseille and has attracted attention from several top European clubs, most notably English Premier League side Arsenal.
