The LPGA Tour announced on Monday that the Kia Classic will return to La Costa Resort and Spa in 2012.

The Legends Course, formerly the South Course, underwent a renovation last year and was unavailable, so the tournament shifted to Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms.

The Legends Course will be ready for the tournament, which will be played March 22-25, 2012. La Costa's other course, the Champions Course, is also undergoing a complete renovation and is slated to re-open in November. The Champions Course previously was referred to as the North Course.

"We are excited to return to the newly-renovated La Costa Resort and Spa for the third edition of the Kia Classic," tournament director Dennis Baggett said. "The Southern California region, and San Diego in particular, has been a longtime supporter of the LPGA Tour and we look forward to bringing the world's best female golfers back next season."
