Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano sustained damage to their racecars during the second practice on Wednesday. Johnson and Logano will have to go to back-up cars for the Daytona 500, while Hamlin's team will try to fix his car.

Ten minutes into practice, Mike Bliss got loose in the middle of the draft and careened into the front of the pack.

"I knew I was out there and was going to be a sitting duck," Bliss said after he was seen and released from the infield care center.

"I thought things were wild," Johnson said. "Guys have a different theory as to where to blend on the racetrack. I was riding along. I thought things were fine and then I was right in the middle of it."

Kyle Busch was also involved in the incident.
