Greeley, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Idaho State emphatically ended a 48-game road losing streak Saturday as Xavier Finney rushed for 236 yards and Daniel McSurdy scored three touchdowns on the ground in a 46-12 victory at Northern Colorado.

Idaho State hadn't won on the road since they were victorious at Northern Colorado, 41-13, in a Big Sky Conference game on Oct. 7, 2006.

But the Bengals (5-3, 3-1) coasted to the win after building a 24-0 halftime lead.

"It is no longer just about the numbers," coach Mike Kramer said. "There was a time in this program we had to have the numbers because we weren't going to get the win. Now we are getting the win, so we don't care about the numbers."

Quarterback Justin Arias was 25-for-43 for 276 yards and two touchdowns.

McSurdy finished with 90 yards on 11 carries. Finney carried the ball 22 times.

Linebacker Mitch Beckstead had a big game with 11 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one interception and one forced fumble.

Northern Colorado fell to 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the Big Sky.
