The Philadelphia Eagles signed center Matt Tennant and released center Steve Vallos on Tuesday.

Tennant, 25, was a fifth-round draft selection of New Orleans in 2010 and played 28 games with the Saints over two seasons.

Tennant was released by New Orleans as part of final cuts on September 1, but was claimed by the New England Patriots, who subsequently released him on October 20. He has not played in a game this season.

He started 41 games during his collegiate career at Boston College and was an All-ACC player during his senior season.

Vallos was let go by the Eagles as a part of the final roster cuts, but was brought back after a season-ending knee injury to starting center Jason Kelce.
