Philadelphia, PA – Ben Crane parred the second playoff hole Sunday to hold off Webb Simpson and win The McGladrey Classic.
The victory was Crane's fourth on the PGA Tour and the title helped him soar 27 spots to No. 50 in this week's world rankings.
There was no change to the top-10 in the world with Luke Donald again followed by Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy, Steve Stricker, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, Jason Day, Adam Scott, Matt Kuchar and Phil Mickelson.
Nick Watney stayed in 11th, while Simpson and Charl Schwartzel held steady in 12th and 13th. The first change came with K.J. Choi inching up a notch to 14th, while Graeme McDowell dipped one to No. 15.
Bubba Watson and Justin Rose stayed put in 16th and 17th. Hunter Mahan and David Toms exchanged places with Mahan up to 18th. Bill Haas moved up one to No. 20 as Paul Casey fell two to 22nd.
Tom Lewis, who shared the first-round lead as an amateur at the British Open this year, scored his first professional win in just his third pro start, when he won the Portugal Masters by two. With that, Lewis sky-rocketed 455 places to No. 166 in the new rankings.
