CIMB Classic switches venues

The CIMB Classic 2013, the first official PGA Tour FedExCup event in Asia, will move to the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, organizers announced Thursday.Phil Mickelson and the event's past three champions, Ben Crane, Bo Van Pelt and Nick Watney, all confirmed their participation in the tournament, which will take place from Oct. 24-27 at KLGCC's championship West Course.Last year, the event was held at the Mines Resort and Golf Club and scores were noticeably low on the short layout, with the winner Watney firing a 10- under 61 on the final day.The CIMB Classic will award PGA Tour FedExCup Points for the first time.
