Second-seeded Dominika Cibulkova and Melanie round action at the inaugural $220,000 Texas Tennis Open, a final U.S. Open tuneup.

The Slovakian Cibulkova wound up on the wrong end of a 62-minute, 6-3, 6-1 match against Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Bondarenko on the hardcourts at Hilton DFW Lakes Hotel.

Bondarenko now has a date with fifth-seeded Sabina Lisicki, who bested Alberta Brianti in straight sets on Tuesday.

Wild-card Oudin fell victim to German qualifier Angelique Kerber, who posted a 6-3, 6-2 decision in one hour, 15 minutes. Kerber advanced to face Johanna Larsson, a straight-set winner over Shahar Peer yesterday.

Winners on the day were Frenchwoman Aravane Rezai, who took down Romanian Sorana Cirstea by a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) count, and Latvian Anastasija Sevastova, a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 winner over Sweden's Sofia Arvidsson.

Rezai next squares off against Elena Baltacha, while Sevastova is paired with eight-seeded Irina-Camelia Begu.

This week's winner will collect $37,000.
