Prosecutors say Boston Celtics forward Jared Sullinger has been arrested on domestic violence-related charges.

A spokeswoman for the Middlesex district attorney's office says Sullinger is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Waltham District Court.

Police did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press. They tell the Boston Herald that officers were called to Sullinger's residence over the weekend for a domestic assault call. He was gone by the time they arrived and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Sullinger then turned himself in at about 6 a.m. Tuesday.

It was not immediately clear who is lawyer is.

Sullinger averaged six points and almost six rebounds per game in 45 games as a rookie last season.
