WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Washington Capitals have acquired left wing Jason Chimera from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for veteran right wing Chris Clark and defenseman Milan Jurcina, the teams said on Monday.

The 30-year-old Chimera turned professional in 1997 and has played for Columbus and Edmonton, recording eight goals and nine assists for the Blue Jackets this season.

Clark, 33, was in his fifth year with the Capitals, his fourth as team captain, while the 26-year-old Jurcina has played four seasons in Washington.
