VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks have avoided going to salary arbitration with forward Jannik Hansen.
The Canucks said today they have signed the 25-year-old right-winger to a three-year contract.
The 25-year-old from Denmark scored nine goals and added 20 assists in 82 games last year. His 29 points was a career high.
In 25 playoff games Hansen had three goals and six assists.
Hansen was scheduled to go to salary arbitration Friday.
