The Denver Broncos and punter Britton Colquitt agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension on Sunday.

No financial terms of the deal were disclosed, but the pact aims to keep Colquitt in the Mile High City through the 2016 season. The Denver Post reported its worth as $11.7 million for the duration.

The 28-year-old racked up 3,105 yards on 67 punt tries for an average of 46.3 yards-per-attempt last season for the Broncos. His net average of 42.1 yards ranked third in the NFL in 2012.

In his four-year NFL career, all with Denver, the Tennessee product has averaged 46.2 yards per punt over 254 attempts, landing 79 of those inside the 20-yard line.
