Anthony, Billups return as Nuggets blast Mavericks 127-91

DENVER (Reuters) - All-Stars Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups returned to the Denver Nuggets' lineup to inspire a 127-91 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.

Anthony scored 19 points after missing eight straight games due to an ankle injury, while Billups had 16 following a one-game absence, also due to an ankle problem, as the Northwest Division-leading Nuggets returned to full strength.

In a dominating effort, Denver (35-17) posted seven players in double-figures for scoring.

The defeat was the Mavericks (32-20) worst of the season as the Southwest Division leaders poor form continued, this their fifth loss in seven games.
