US intercepts most Iranian missiles, all personnel safe: official

All American personnel are accounted for after Iran’s retaliatory attacks, and the U.S. intercepted “the majority of” missiles fired by Tehran, a senior U.S. official told Fox News.

Most of the missiles and drones Iran launched were headed toward Jordan before being shot down, the U.S. official said. The official added that there has been no major damage to any U.S. bases in the Middle East.

Asked who authorized continued Iranian attacks on commercial ships, the official said Iran’s command-and-control structure is not centralized and it remains unclear who within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is alive or dead.

Trump says US has ‘almost total control’ of Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump on Tuesday pushed back on a report that his administration is trying to "force Iran to the bargaining table," saying he prefers the U.S. position with what he described as “almost total control” of the Strait of Hormuz.

"I’m not trying to force Iran to the bargaining table, as ABC Fake News reported. I couldn’t care less if they sign a worthless, to them, agreement. I like our position now much better, with almost total control of the Hormuz Strait, and their economy totally collapsing," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

He added, "They are just playing out the inevitable. When are the Iranian people going to rise up and fight?

One glaring issue goes unaddressed in UN chief's high-stakes talks with Iran's president

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian Tuesday as Iranians detained from January's nationwide protests continue to face prison sentences, alleged torture and a growing number of death sentences and executions.

The U.N. readout of the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek, said Guterres raised the humanitarian and economic consequences of the conflict involving Iran and stressed the need for diplomacy and respect for international law.

The readout made no mention of Iran's treatment of protesters, executions or allegations of torture.

Asked by Fox News Digital at Tuesday's U.N. briefing whether Guterres raised those issues directly with Pezeshkian, and if so, why they were not included in the readout, the secretary-general's spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, said he had "nothing to add to the readout."

But Dujarric said Guterres had raised the issues with senior Iranian officials in other meetings.

"I can tell you that in other meetings with senior Iranian leaders, in New York and other places, the secretary-general has raised those issues directly," Dujarric said.

Iran’s IRGC warns US ‘will regret its new attacks’

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned Tuesday that the United States “will regret its new attacks,” Iranian state news agency Fars reported.

“If they do respond, they’ll be hit much harder,” Trump told Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst.

“This is a very big hit today. If it goes a third time, they’re going to be totally wiped out as a country.”

The threat came as tensions continue to escalate between Washington and Tehran following renewed exchanges of fire and U.S. strikes on Iranian military positions.

Iran has also threatened to respond militarily if the United States intensifies what Iranian officials describe as a siege against the country. Two oil tankers were reportedly struck near the Strait of Hormuz earlier this week, raising concerns about further disruptions to global energy shipments.

The Trump administration has expanded sanctions pressure on Iran and maintained a blockade aimed at restricting Tehran’s military and economic activity.

Trump, in call with Fox News, warns Iran will be ‘totally wiped out as a country’ if it retaliates

President Donald Trump warned Iran "would be no longer" if it retaliates against the latest U.S. strikes.

“If they do respond, they’ll be hit much harder,” Trump told Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst.

“This is a very big hit today. If it goes a third time, they’re going to be totally wiped out as a country.”

Trump sounded like he had grown tied of Iran talk and delays.

"I think an agreement with them isn't worth the paper it's written on," Trump said. "We gave them a lot of chances."

Trump claimed U.S. forces destroyed "a lot of radar" in Iran’s network, including systems Tehran attempted to rebuild.

"They tried to rebuild their radar because they can't see anything," Trump continued. "We waited until it was almost built and then we hit it.

"The [USS] George Washington is loaded to the gills," he added. "We're loaded up."

The president said Gulf allies were notified ahead of the latest strikes and described Iran’s leadership as dangerouslt mistaken on his resolve.

"They don't stop: They're crazy and they're stupid," he concluded.

Trump warns biggest attack ‘waiting in the wings’: Do not retaliate 'for this very justified attack'

President Donald Trump is not kowtowing to Iranian warnings, executing new strikes and warning of the biggest attack "waiting in the wings."

"The United States is, as we speak, striking Iranian Targets near the Strait of Hormuz," Trump wrote Tuesday afternoon on Truth Social. "The strikes are large and powerful, and in retaliation for the Iranians’ failed attempt at adding sea mines to the Strait, which currently has no mines (They have been completely removed or detonated!), and the Iranians shooting eight missiles, all successfully knocked down, at our Military Base in Jordan.

"If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran!"

US striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran, CENTCOM confirms

The U.S. launched new air strikes on Iranian targets Tuesday, following up on President Donald Trump's vow in a call with Fox News that the U.S. Central Command would be "hitting back hard" in retaliation for strikes on U.S. bases in Jordan this weekend.

"Today at 12 p.m. ET, U.S. forces began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran. The strikes follow recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members deployed to the region."

- CENTCOM posted on X

Iran has attacked eight commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz since the blockade on ships sailing to or from Iranian ports restarted July 14. Four of these attacks have taken place since last Monday, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Organization (UKMTO), which tracks reports of attacks in the Middle East.

Tehran remained defiant, warning that it would prevent oil being exported from the Gulf.

Iran's state broadcaster said there had been reports of explosions on Iran's Qeshm Island, on the northern side of the strait. The state-linked news agency Nour News said there had been reports of explosions in the port city of Bandar Abbas and in Chabahar, a port on the southern coast.

IAEA says Iran uranium stockpile estimate unchanged, flags Assad-era Syria nuclear activity

The International Atomic Energy Agency reported that its estimate of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile through June 13, 2025, remains unchanged from previous findings, according to documents reviewed by Reuters.

President Donald Trump has long maintained that "Iran will never have a nuclear weapon."

In a separate report, the IAEA said former Syrian authorities failed to declare nuclear material, facilities and activities, including a reactor under construction at Deir al-Zor and a fuel fabrication plant.

The agency confirmed the presence at one Syrian site of roughly 73 tons of natural uranium metal, including about 55 tons in 8,808 fuel rods and 18 tons of uranium scrap and waste.

The IAEA said it was unable to verify the safeguards status of the facilities and associated nuclear material. It said, however, that Syria’s current authorities have shown transparency and cooperation in helping resolve outstanding questions about the country’s past nuclear activities.

The reports were sent to IAEA member states amid heightened scrutiny of Iran’s nuclear program and broader regional security concerns.

The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and its Tel Aviv branch office remain open for routine and emergency consular services.
