“The Real Housewives of New York City” know all about drama, catfights and gossip.

But the newest member of the cast says she was particularly intimidated by one of her six fellow “Housewives” stars.

On the red carpet for Bravo’s 2011 Upfront Presentation, Cindy Barshop told FOX411 that she was nervous about meeting “Housewives” veteran Jill Zarin.

“You were the one I was so nervous to meet,” Barshop told Zarin while the FOX411 cameras were rolling. “I was nervous because you’re a big personality.”

She said joining the cast was like “a battlefield.”

“They are very dynamic women,” Barshop said. “Some people opened arms to me and some didn’t. [But] it’s just interesting to be in a group of really smart, intelligent women that have strong personalities.”

But Barshop said Zarin turned out to be the most welcoming of the group she encountered.

Zarin, for her part, told FOX411 that she has always been a “dominant person.”

“I’m an ‘A’ person, there’s no question I’m an ‘A,’ but I didn’t know I intimidate people. But that’s not a bad thing.”

Season Four of the “Real Housewives” premieres April 7 on Bravo.
