John Krasinski said "A Quiet Place" was a "love letter to his kids" and referred to wife Emily Blunt as the "love of [his] life" at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday.

"I want to say thank you to all the incredible kindness that has been shown to this film. The critics, but most of all, everyone out there that's seen or loved this movie. It means the absolute world to our crew and to our cast," Krasinski, 39, said while accepting the award for Best Horror/Sci-Fi FMovie.

"I got to make a movie about a love story and a love letter to my kids. I got to do it with the love of my life by my side," he continued, "so I'm pretty sure it doesn't get much better than that. Thank you so much."

Producer Andrew Form honored "The Office" star onstage, noting, "The truth is this movie doesn't exist without the visionary filmmaker John Krasinski."
Blunt, 35, was on hand to hug Krasinski when he got offstage.

The British-born actress was nominated for Best Actress for "Mary Poppins Returns," but lost out to Glenn Close and Lady Gaga, who tied for the win.
Blunt and Krasinski tied the knot in 2010.
They share daughters Hazel, 4, and Violet, 2.
