Demi Moore sent a defensive-sounding tweet early Wednesday to justify her continued use of the handle @mrskutcher, following her high-profile break-up with husband Ashton.

Just over a month after the actors decided to end their six-year marriage, Moore tweeted, "changing my twitter name isn't a top priority right now. sorry it bothers so many of u. should I not tweet until I do?does it really matter?"

The prolific Twitter user took a short break from the social networking site after announcing her divorce from 33-year-old Kutcher, but it did not deter questions about her continued use of his name.

One Twitter user, calling herself carisa_keating, had earlier sent a public message to the actress, saying, "That awkward moment when Demi Moore's twitter name is@mrskutcher.......... #ouch."
Moore's marriage to the "Two and a Half" men star ended after rumors broke in September that he had cheated on her with 22-year-old administrative assistant Sara Leal on the couple's six-year anniversary.

Leal told FOXNews.com this week that her life became a living hell after she allegedly had unprotected sex with Kutcher in his suite at San Diego's Hard Rock Hotel.

"I got fired from my job. I am no longer friends with my best friend who was my roommate because it caused so many problems and I had to move out," she said. "I wasn't working for two months, and I only just started working three weeks ago. I had no idea what I was getting myself into."
