Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson is an Academy Award nominated actress known for her role in the “Avengers” franchise as well as several other Marvel movies. Another one of Johansson’s popular roles was in the 2003 movie “Lost in Translation” in addition to the 2013 film, "Her." Johansson was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds and journalist Romain Dauriac but is now married to comedian Colin Jost.

Johansson was born on November 22, 1984 to parents Melanie Sloan and Karsten Johansson. She has a sister, Vanessa Johansson who is also an actress along with a brother Adrian, twin brother Hunter and half-brother Christian.

Johansson began acting at a young age and got her start in an off Broadway production “Sophistry.” In 1994, she made her film debut in the movie “North.”

Over the few following years, she was in movies like “Just Cause,” “Manny & Lo,” “If Lucy Fell, “Fall,” “Home Alone 3,” “The Horse Whisperer” and “Ghost World.”

In 2004, Johansson was nominated for Golden Globes for two different movies, “Girl with a Pearl Earring” and “Lost in Translation.”

After that, she was in movies “The Perfect Score,” “A Good Woman,” “In Good Company,” “Match Point,” “Scoop,” “The Black Dahlia,” “The Prestige,” “The Nanny Diaries,” “The Other Boleyn Girl,” “The Spirit” and “He’s Just Not That Into You” among others. All of these movies led to her first appearance as Natasha Romanoff in “Iron Man 2.”

In 2012, Johansson was in the first “Avengers” movie as Romanoff/Black Widow with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth. She was in the rest of the “Avengers” movies, “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame” along with other Marvel movies “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Captain America: Civil War” and “Black Widow.”

Other movies starring Johansson are “Under the Skin,” “Lucy,” “Hail, Caesar!,” “Sing,” “Ghost in the Shell,” “Rough Night,” “Marriage Story,” “Jojo Rabbit” and “Sing 2.” She received Oscar nominations for her role in “Marriage Story” and her role in “Jojo Rabbit” in 2020.

Johansson got married to Reynolds in September 2008 before announcing their divorce in 2010.

She then got engaged to Dauriac in 2013 and they got married the next year. The two announced their separation in 2017. They share a daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac who was born in 2014.

Johansson has been married to Jost since October 2020 and they have a son named Cosmo.
