Possible murder-suicide investigated in Connecticut

MERIDEN, Conn. – Meriden police say they are investigating the deaths of a woman and a man as a possible murder-suicide.

Their bodies were found inside an apartment on Eddy Avenue Tuesday afternoon by police who were asked by the woman's daughter to check on the welfare of her mother.

The victims' names have not been released. Police say they both had been shot.

Neighbors told the Record-Journal of Meriden that the woman was in her late 40s and at one time had lived in the apartment with the male victim, who had since moved out.
