A Montana man was arrested Friday for threatening to shoot a boy for sharing information about a subplot in the move “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” during an online conversation.

Arthur Charles Roy was charged Monday with felony assault with a weapon during an appearance in Lewis and Clark County Justice Court. Roy’s bail was set at $10,000.

The incident occurred Thursday when Roy learned the details of the movie from a Facebook friend, prosecutors said. Roy sent the friend a picture of himself with a gun and threatened to go to the boy’s school and shoot him, according to court documents.

Roy reportedly said the gun was a Colt 191 with a “hair trigger.” His mother questioned the arrest because the weapon turned out to be a BB gun, according to charging documents.

Helena’s alternative high school was locked own Friday morning after students were afraid Roy may follow through with his threat. The friend called a school resource officer Thursday to report the threat.
