An armed man who barricaded himself inside a downtown Dallas apartment complex Tuesday is in police custody, FOX 4 reported.

There were no reports of injuries in the standoff that began after police got calls about an active shooter at the apartment complex. Some building in the vicinity, including the Perot Museum of Natural Science, was put on lockdown.

Sources told FOX 4 the man was upset about an eviction notice. He fired at least three shots and hit some windows, the sources said.

The Dallas Police Department said SWAT officers were brought in to handle the situation. They set off a flash-bang grenade as a distraction device around noon. He was reportedly taken into custody just before 1 p.m. after the officers shot tear gas into the apartment.
