CARTERET, N.J. – Emergency crews are trying to upright two cars of a freight train that derailed in New Jersey.
News 12 New Jersey reports the cars are part of a Conrail train. They left the tracks in an industrial section of Carteret around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Fire officials tell the cable TV news channel the cars are carrying a combustible material.
No leaks are reported and no evacuations have been ordered.
There are no reports of injuries.
