Lindsay Lohan might not be the first person to come to mind when talking about Brazilian politics, but the troubled actress just voiced who she would support in the upcoming runoff presidential election.

In an unusual tweet, the “Parent Trap” actress voiced her support for Aecio Neves.

“I support @AecioNeves, for presidential candidature. His platform brings positive changes in Brasil #Aecio45 #HTVBR,” she tweeted on Tuesday.

Neves, a business-minded former governor who has promised to open Brazil’s economy and boost its growth, is currently in a runoff election with President Dilma Rousseff.

The 28-year-old actress also posted her support on Facebook.

“Brasil needs change and I support Aecio Neves! He deserves to win the presidency to push forward positive changes and policies for ALL people of Brasil, a country that I adore,” she wrote with a link to an Economist article.

Although Lohan’s tweet and post have since been deleted, that didn’t stop the Internet from going crazy.

Lohan is not the only one voicing her support in Brazil's upcoming elections. Actor Danny Glover, who openly supported former Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, tweeted his support for Rousseff.

"Brazil is the largest country in fighting poverty & in the past 12 years has set an example for humanity. #Dilma13," he wrote recently.
