LOS ANGELES – Should Justin Bieber get off the road already?

We hear his people think so, but he does not.

The 19-year-old pop star hit headlines yet again this week after police received complaints Monday that he drove his white Ferrari at freeway speeds through a 25mph zone in the prestigious north Los Angeles gated community in which he lives.

“People are afraid something (bad) will happen. Justin has been sternly advised by his team to stop driving, get a driver,” an insider told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “But he’s not listening.”

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating Bieber for reckless driving after receiving two calls pertaining to the incident, which involved interviewing several witnesses including former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson. However, his security detail declined to allow officer’s into Bieber’s residence to interview him regarding the accusations. According to TIME, deputies intend to pass a reckless driving report onto the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which will then determine if misdemeanor charges should be brought forward.

Of course this isn't Bieber's first controversy behind the wheel. Prosecutors have not yet closed the investigation stemming from an incident in March this year, after yet a neighbor complained about his erratic driving through the same upscale Calabasas community, which resulted in an alleged heated altercation. Other neighbors are also said to have previously bemoaned Bieber’s dangerous behavior behind the wheel, and his loud parties.

But apparently partygoers that step behind Bieber’s walls have to tread with caution. We’re told that it is routine for people heading into the home to sign confidentiality agreements not to talk about the goings on inside, or risk a $5 million lawsuit.

And even if Bieber isn’t the one driving, his flashy vehicle still manages to spark mayhem. According to TMZ, the “Baby” singer’s now infamous Ferrari was pulled over for speeding in L.A on Wednesday, the culprit being his pal Lil’ Twist, the person driving the car during an incident earlier this year in which a paparazzo was killed. (There were no charges filed.)

A rep for Bieber did not respond to a request for comment.
