The Arnold Schwarzenegger love child scandal will serve as the inspiration for an upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," TV Line reported Tuesday.

The revelation that Schwarzenegger, 63, had fathered a child with a former housekeeper came only a week after he and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, announced they had separated in May.

The housekeeper had worked in the Schwarzenegger family's home for 20 years.

Sources close to "Special Victims Unit" said the episode concerns a philanthropist in his 50s from one of "New York's royal families" whose affair with someone in the family's inner circle produced a love child.

The crime investigated by the "Special Victims Unit" detectives will involve the wealthy, entitled son of the philanthropist and his wife.

The Schwarzenegger-inspired "Special Victims Unit" episode will air this fall during the show's 13th season.
