Spanish economy minister confident of accord on Greece in next few days, says no 'Plan B'

MADRID – Spain's economy minister says he is confident an agreement will be reached with Greece in the coming days to get the country back on track.

Speaking at a business breakfast Monday, Luis de Guindos said Greece had little time to play with and the agreement with creditors was imperative given the country's financial difficulties.

De Guindos said Greece must present a complete and wide ranging list of reforms for the agreement to be reached and allow it to return to growth.

De Guindos said he was not aware of any alternative emergency plan should an accord not be reached.

Greece is battling to reach a deal with eurozone lenders that would release the final installment of its bailout plan. It needs it to avoid defaulting on its debts this summer.
