SAN DIEGO – A man and woman shot to death in their San Diego home have been identified as an Arizona doctor and his wife.
The Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona, said Saturday that Dr. David Haynes and his wife, Lissa, died in the crime.
A statement from the hospital says Haynes had worked at the hospital as an emergency room doctor for nearly two decades.
Police arrested a 22-year-old man in the early morning shooting Friday after officers spotted him trying to sneak back into the crime scene.
Police have not released his name.
Officers responded to a shooting early Friday in the Sunset Cliffs neighborhood and found a man and woman in their 60s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both later died at a San Diego-area hospital.
