US military kills 2 narco-terrorists in Eastern Pacific strike operation targeting vessel
Two narco-terrorists killed aboard vessel in international waters as Joint Task Force Southern Spear resumes operations
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}U.S. Southern Command said Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out its first lethal strike since Dec. 22 on Dec. 29, killing two narco-terrorists aboard a vessel operated by designated terrorist organizations in international waters.
"On Dec. 29, at the direction of [Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth,] Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations in international waters," SOUTHCOM wrote on X, adding that intelligence confirmed the vessel was traveling along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific.

SOUTHCOM said two male narco-terrorists were killed and no U.S. military forces were harmed.

The strike was the 30th since Sept. 2, bringing the total number of people killed in such operations to at least 106, according to U.S. Southern Command.
