The judge in the trial of a Georgia man accused of intentionally leaving his toddler son in a hot SUV to die is hearing from potential jurors who say they have a scheduling conflict.
Jury selection in the trial of 35-year-old Justin Ross Harris is expected to stretch into next week. Police say 22-month-old Cooper died after spending about seven hours in the SUV on a hot day in June 2014.
Potential jurors who had asked to be excused were invited to explain their reasons to the judge Monday.
The full jury pool will be sworn in and asked to fill out a questionnaire Tuesday. Lawyers for both sides will ask questions of individual jurors as jury selection continues.
Harris faces multiple charges, including murder, and has been in jail since the day his son died.

Harris is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
