Quinnipiac University fraternity under investigation following alleged incident with new pledges

Quinnipiac University issued a cease-and-desist order to one of its fraternities Monday citing “allegations regarding the fraternity’s process for new members.”

Sigma Phi Epsilon is under investigation following an incident over the weekend involving the initiation process for pledges.

“We have zero tolerance for any behavior which threatens the safety and security of any members of the university community,” Vice President for public affairs Lynn Bushnell said in a statement.

The university did not release further details about the incident.
