IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. – Authorities say they believe a body found in a swimming pool at a suburban Rochester home is that of a city teenager who had been missing since last weekend.
Rochester media outlets report that police executing a search warrant Thursday found a young woman's body in a pool in the town of Irondequoit.
Police officials say they believe the body is that of 17-year-old Larie Butler of Rochester. Authorities say an 18-year-old man told police he dropped off Butler near a Rochester high school Saturday night after an earlier trip to a suburban mall.
Media outlets report man's grandmother lives at the home where the body was found.
Police say their investigation is continuing.
