An Oklahoma boy was given 500 gifts Sunday when he turned 8 years old, but he’s not keeping a single one.
Chase Branscum, of Owasso, decided this year to turn his birthday party at the Rejoice Church North Campus Gymnasium into a toy drive supporting Toys for Tots, FOX 23 reports.
“I already have toys and other kids don’t,” Chase told the station.
More than 100 guests showed up to donate at the event, which featured food, games and laser tag organized by a local business owner.
“You want to raise your child to be generous and to think of someone other than themselves,” his mother, Tiffany Rowe, told FOX 23. “Him doing this was a gift to me.”
