Officials say two firefighters in South Carolina's capital and a county paramedic have been fired for social media posts.

The dismissals Wednesday come after the firing of a Columbia Fire Department captain for posting on Facebook he would run over protesters if they were still blocking traffic when his shift ended.

City and county news releases on the latest firings gave no details on who was fired, what they posted or when.

Black Lives Matter protesters closed an intersection near the Statehouse and prompted authorities to close a section of interstate leading into Columbia late Sunday.

The protests came after black men were killed by police in Minnesota and Louisiana and white officers were gunned down in Dallas.

First responders across the country have been fired for their posts regarding Black Lives Matter protesters.
