One of the NYPD officers injured responding to a fire Sunday started by a "bored" teen in an apartment building in Coney Island has died, police said.

Dennis Guerra, 38, was declared dead at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. He was transferred there after doctors had difficulty stabilizing him at Coney Island Hospital and Jacobi Hospital. MyFoxNY.com reported.

Guerra and his partner, Rosa Rodriguez, 33, were overcome by carbon monoxide and smoke on Sunday after taking an elevator to the 13th floor of the Brooklyn building.

Rodriguez was listed in critical condition on Wednesday.

A 16-year-old boy was charged in connection with the fire. He was arraigned on charges of assault, arson and reckless endangerment and held without bail.
