A 1-year-old child was killed in Queens Thursday night when a truck collided with her stroller as her mother was pushing her across the street, cops said.
The mother and child were near 94th Street 23 Avenue when a Dodge Ram truck smashed into them at around 10:45 p.m., according to police.
“You ran over my baby!” the mother yelled, according to numerous witnesses at the scene.
“The woman was screaming and going crazy,” witness Leo Guerrero said. “She was trying to pull the stroller out from the truck.”
Guerrero said the baby was bleeding heavily and the driver was distraught when he realized he had injured someone.
“The driver got out and collapsed,” he said. “He sat on the ground crying.”
