A man convicted of espionage in the 1980s for leaking spy satellite photos to a British magazine and later pardoned is scheduled to plead guilty to stealing government records related to his grandfather, a famous Naval historian.

Online court records show Samuel Loring Morison of Crofton, Maryland, is scheduled to plead guilty Thursday in federal court in Baltimore. Morison's attorney, Jim Wyda, declined to comment.

Morison was arrested in 2014 and charged with stealing records related to Rear Adm. Samuel Eliot Morison from the Naval History and Heritage Command in Washington.

The elder Morison wrote a seminal history of World War II naval operations and was a two-time recipient of the Pulitzer Prize. He died in 1976.
