A Pennsylvania man accused of threatening two nurses at gunpoint to spring his girlfriend from a mental health care hospital has waived extradition in South Carolina.

The chief of Cornwall Borough's police department says Elliot Ravert should be back in Pennsylvania next week to face charges including felony robbery, aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats.

The 18-year-old Ravert is accused of ordering two nurses to let him into the locked ward at Philhaven Hospital and taking 21-year-old Alicia Buzzard out of the facility Aug. 10.

The two were found in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Aug. 12 when they were arrested for shoplifting at a Wal-Mart.

Buzzard pleaded guilty to shoplifting and served nine days at a detention center. She's apparently told officials she won't return to Pennsylvania.
