Man held without bond on murder charge in death of Chicago boy hit by car while in stroller

A Chicago man accused of killing a baby when he slammed his vehicle into a stroller while fleeing police has been charged with first-degree murder.

Antoine Watkins was charged Monday and ordered held without bond in the death of 13-month-old Dillan Harris. A woman screamed during the hearing, "You killed my baby!" but she wasn't identified.

Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Jennifer Cooper says the police chase started Saturday after a witness heard gunfire and saw Watkins climb into a vehicle and drive away.

Cooper says Watkins, who was being pursued after the fatal shooting of another young man, initially stopped. But he sped off as officers exited their vehicles.

Carr says the vehicle jumped a curb, hitting the stroller as the baby's mother waited at a bus stop.
