A New Hampshire man accused of shooting two police officers who were chasing him because he matched the description of a suspect in a gas station armed robbery is scheduled to make his first court appearance.

Thirty-two-year-old Ian MacPherson is due in court in Manchester on Monday.

Police say MacPherson shot 27-year-old Officer Ryan Hardy and 28-year-old Officer Matthew O'Connor minutes apart on Friday. O'Connor was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg and was released from the hospital that same day. Hardy was shot in the face and torso and was released on Saturday.

MacPherson is being held without bail on two counts of attempted capital murder. He wasn't injured in the chase.
