ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – Kentucky State Police have charged a Breckinridge County juvenile with manslaughter in the shooting death of his stepfather.
Trooper Norman Chaffins of the Elizabethtown KSP post said police were called to a home in the Harned community at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The Breckenridge County coroner pronounced the stepfather dead at the scene. The youth is in police custody. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
Chaffins said a preliminary investigation indicated the 17-year-old shot his stepfather during an argument.
