A judge and attorneys have selected a final pool of 45 potential jurors who are qualified to hear the trial of a Georgia man charged with killing his toddler son by leaving the child inside a hot SUV.

Justin Ross Harris is charged with murder in the June 2014 death of his 22-month-old son, Cooper. Pretrial publicity caused the judge to move the case 275 miles from the Atlanta suburbs to coastal Brunswick.

News organizations report the judge and attorneys agreed on the jury pool Wednesday after eight days spent questioning potential jurors.

The judge plans to seat a final jury of 12 people plus up to four alternates Oct. 3. Attorneys will then deliver opening statements in the trial of Harris, who moved to Georgia from Alabama in 2012.
