A Massachusetts judge has ruled that a $1.3 million home and 2005 Hummer owned by former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez can be sold as part of a lawsuit filed over the death of a man Hernandez has been convicted of killing.

Superior Court Judge Richard Moses on Thursday authorized the sale of the former tight end's 7,100-square-foot home in North Attleborough and the SUV. The judge is to enter an order later specifying what happens to the sale proceeds.

Hernandez was convicted and sentenced to life in prison in April for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee. Lloyd's mother, Ursula Ward, filed the wrongful death lawsuit against Hernandez.

Hernandez also is awaiting trial for the killings of two men in Boston.
