A judge has sentenced an Indiana man to 190 years in prison following his convictions on three counts of murder.

WANE-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2lUbwg3 ) 20-year-old Artavius Richards was sentenced Monday to 60 years each in the Feb. 24, 2016, shooting deaths of 23-year-old Mohamedtaha Omar, 20-year-old Adam Mekki and 17-year-old Muhannad Tairab.

He also got a 10-year term for a handgun enhancement.

A jury found Richards, of Fort Wayne, guilty last month. His first trial ended in a hung jury.

Investigators have said the slayings resulted from a robbery.

Richards told the court he plans to appeal his sentence.

Also Monday, 19-year-old co-defendant Darrell L. McDaniel agreed to plead guilty to robbery. He faces no more than 20 years when he's sentenced April 10. Prosecutors agreed to drop three murder charges.
