FBI divers and police officials in New York's Long Island are set to retrieve a yacht that capsized and sank, killing three children.

The 34-foot Kandi Won is approximately 60 feet below the surface of Oyster Bay, off the north shore of Long Island.

It sank on July 4th with 27 people onboard following a fireworks display.

Three children inside the cabin died in the accident.

Investigators are hoping that getting the boat back on land will assist their investigation into how it capsized.

Police are trying to determine if the boat was overcrowded. They also hope to learn if the vessel had lifejackets for every passenger.

The operator of the boat has said it was tipped over by a large wave as a storm approached Oyster Bay.
