ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – New Jersey authorities say a man fatally shot another man before turning the gun on himself at a shopping complex in Atlantic City.
Investigators say the shooting happened around noon Thursday at The Walk. The condition of the shooter wasn't immediately known.
The Tanger outlets are a popular shopping destination near the city's casinos and boardwalk.
Shoppers at a Bass Pro Shops store told the Press of Atlantic City that they were told to get into "lockdown mode" and move to the back. Eddie Valerio says shoppers were released after 10 minutes and everyone in the store was fine.
Traffic on the Atlantic City Expressway was stopped while police investigated.
The shooting comes a few hours before the Zac Brown Band performs on the beach a few blocks away.
