Police say the body of a missing Penn State professor has been found in a quarry, and another man is charged with driving him there and pushing him to his death.

The Centre Daily Times reports (http://bit.ly/2ba4UpN ) 56-year-old Ronald Bettig, an associate professor of media studies, was last seen Aug. 13.

Pennsylvania State Police said Friday that 39-year-old George Ishler Jr., of Pennsylvania Furnace, has been charged. They say he drove Bettig to the quarry "under a ruse" and pushed him off a ledge.

No motive was given and it wasn't clear what their relationship was.

Ishler faces charges including first- and third-degree murder. No attorney information was listed in online court documents.

Bettig joined the College of Communications in 1988. He taught courses on the political economy of communications.
