LONGMONT, Colo. – A Colorado mother says she feels relief after being reunited with her 3-year-old son, who was allegedly abducted and taken to Canada by his father.
Luke Turner sat on the lap of his mother, Brandy Turner, at a news conference Tuesday night after arriving at Denver International Airport.
Monty Turner is accused of taking Luke on Saturday from the home the boy shares with his mother in Longmont. A court order prohibits Monty Turner from having any contact with his son or Brandy Turner, his estranged wife.
Authorities say the father attacked Brandy Turner with pepper spray and a stun gun before taking the boy. He was arrested Sunday in Manitoba with Luke, who was unharmed.
The father was jailed on suspicion of kidnapping, burglary and assault.
